On the 20th of June, Hog Roast Rickmansworth had the honour of catering for Matt and Alisha’s wedding reception, which took place at the beautiful Micklefield Hall. It is always a wonderful feeling to be chosen to cater for a wedding, and our catering manager Darren was on hand to ensure that we created the perfect menu for the occasion. We needed to plan a catering package that would be ideal for 100 guests, with a broad selection of dishes for everyone to enjoy. It was decided that our Southern Slow Roast menu would perfect, since it is incredibly varied and has plenty of tasty dishes to go around!
On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Rickmansworth team arrived at the venue in Hertfordshire in the morning, to ensure that we had plenty of time to prepare for the evening serving time. We began by slow-roasting the main dishes, which included a BBQ pork butt, Cajun-spiced whole-roasted chickens, and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs. For plant-based guests, we also provided grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, served with wraps and a selection of homemade sauces. For the side dishes, the guests enjoyed a mixture of sweet potato and traditional fries, corn cobettes, and our creamy mac and cheese. Overall, this created a delicious menu with something for every guest to enjoy, including plenty for seconds! Our menu was a wonderful addition to the wedding and it was great to see the couple enjoying their dream reception.
