There’s something truly special about a wedding reception where the food, the atmosphere, and the people all come together in harmony and Wei’s wedding at St. Luke’s Church, Watford was exactly that.
With 200 guests in attendance, our Hog Roast Watford team knew this was going to be a big one, and we couldn’t have been more excited to deliver a feast worthy of such a milestone. The chosen menu? Our much loved Southern Slow Roast, packed full of hearty flavours and variety.
The star of the show was the trio of meats: Cajun chicken with just the right amount of spice, melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket, and smoky ribs that fell straight off the bone. Add in a selection of sides, extra fries, and butchers’ sausages, and it quickly became a banquet to suit every appetite.
Of course, it wasn’t just about the meat. For vegetarian and vegan guests, our colourful grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (served without halloumi for the vegans) went down a treat, ensuring everyone had a plate full of food that was bursting with flavour.
We served the dishes buffet style, making sure the flow of the day stayed relaxed and joyful, the way a wedding should be. Guests filled their plates on eco-friendly bamboo crockery, and it was such a great sight seeing tables of friends and family enjoying their food together, going back for seconds, and sharing in the occasion.
What stood out most for us, though, wasn’t just the food. It was being part of an atmosphere so full of love, happiness, and celebration. That’s what makes events like this so memorable and why we love what we do.
A huge thank you to Wei and family for trusting Hog Roast Watford to be part of your wedding day. It was an absolute honour, and one we won’t forget anytime soon.
