Louise’s daughter is turning 18 later this August and she wanted to plan a wonderful surprise party to mark the occasion. After moving to a different county, the family left most of her family friends behind and had to adapt to a new home, a new school, and a new group of people. For her birthday, her mum wanted to bring as many of her old friends and family members together again to join in the celebration- and she knew that her daughter would love this! Alongside the guest list, Louise also arranged catering with Hog Roast Haddenham. After looking through our menus she decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion and would taste great in the sunshine of their back garden.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Haddenham team arrived at the family home and began to prepare the menu. We started by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. Once the meat was tender and juicy, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and fresh applesauce. For the side dishes, we also served a selection of fresh salad dishes and homemade chips. This created a delicious and varied menu, with plenty of the birthday girl and her guests to enjoy. The surprise party was a great success, and it was excellent to see so many people enjoying our menu.
