If guts, gore and things that go bump in the night aren’t your bag, then fear not because, believe it or not, as well as being a horror-lover’s dream, Halloween has a wholesome side to it. Yes, you read that right!
For those of you who aren’t at all interested in being scared witless by props and people wearing terrifying costumes, events like the one Meghan has put together mean you can still enjoy partaking in this annual holiday in a way that’s more suited to you. So, what exactly has Meghan got planned, I hear you wonder?
Well, this Halloween-loving client has only gone and organised a pumpkin-picking event at her and her husband, Jamie’s farm! Not only will guests be welcome to pick out a pumpkin of their own to take home with them, but they will also be encouraged to take part in a pumpkin carving contest, with the best contestant set to take home a basket of Halloween-themed goodies.
There will also be a petting zoo, where ticket holders will be able to get up close with horses, rabbits, donkeys, goats and more; along with face painting, a drinks stall, a pumpkin hunt (the Halloween version of an Easter egg hunt) and, of course, a delicious Hog Roast Cheshunt hog roast for everyone to sink their teeth into!
Meghan’s hope is that this event will be a fantastic date-night opportunity for couples and an exciting day out for families, and our Hog Roast Cheshunt team is thrilled to be the one to cater for this spectacular – or should we say spooktacular – event, which will be running next weekend.
While the location of the event is outside of our usual vicinity, Hog Roast Cheshunt’s catering crew are very much looking forward to taking part in the celebrations and are more than happy to make the travel. On the day of the function, we will be serving our classic hog roast spread, which included fork-tender pulled pork, stuffing, crackling and applesauce with side salads, coleslaw, mixed fries and a plant-based alternative of BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls, which are suitable for vegans.
