Hog Roast Royston hit the catwalk!

With autumn swiftly approaching it’s almost time to break out your coats and scarves. Hog Roast Royston’s latest event was corporate catering for the hardworking models, designers, dressers and all people who work behind the scenes at fashion shows. The clients wanted their staff to have a delicious buffet to celebrate their successful autumn fashion show.

Hog Roast RoystonThe buffet was for all 150 crew members and models, so the clients worked with the Hog Roast Royston team to come up with the buffet menu that would be delicious and inclusive of all dietary requirements and tastes. Alongside meat options, there would be lots of exciting vegetarian and vegan selections, including a large basket of gluten free rolls that every single guests could enjoy.

The location for the fashion show was an un-used industrial warehouse, the meant that there was plenty of space for the Hog Roast Royston Catering Manager to work in. Upon their arrival at the venue at 2pm, the Chef and assistants got straight to work setting up the cooking equipment and serving table. Every single dish that formed part of the buffet was created fresh by the small team in the hours leading up to the staggered 8-9:30pm serving time. This meant that as the guests ate the food it was at its most tasty.

The tasty treats the guests could pick between were all created with love and were well liked by all. The main meat dish on offer was delicious Slow Roasted Sirloin of beef served with horseradish sauce, Yorkshire puddings and homemade red wine gravy. There was however, a delicious vegetarian lasagne on offer too, the aromas of this tasty treat filled the venue. Finishing off the buffet was a selection of piping hot seasonal vegetables and scrumptious new potatoes that had been roasted with sea salt and rosemary.

The buffet was thoroughly enjoyed by all the guests, they tucked into the buffet ravenously. Once serving was over the small team worked together to gather all of the rubbish, it was then disposed of responsibly by the team.

The event was a great success, the clients and their workers were thrilled by the corporate catering the team had laid on, it was very well received.
