The staff party is at a venue called The Crook Barn at Bradwell’s Discovery Centre…. An ideal location for events of all types and conveniently located near the station and with great links to all major roads. Our contact from Dentons is Amy, and she has been given this year’s task of organising the staff Christmas party. Although a bit of formality was required the atmosphere was to be a quite relaxed and getting the balance right was 
Amy’s desire. We were at hand to offer a bit of advice in the menu choice and serving arrangements and any tweaks that were needed to make the hog roast in Bradwell a success was no problem to us. It’s a little bit of backroom work and time and effort, but the end result makes all the difference to the perfect hog roast for corporate events. As well as the spit roasted pig, we served canapes as the guests arrived at The Crook Barn. Guests were treated to an array of scrumptious nibbles which were freshly made at the venue by Karen, Amanda and our friendly team of waiting staff. A varied selection of hot and cold treats including homemade dill scones with a creamy horseradish and sour cream topping and fresh salmon, savoury shortbread with roasted cherry tomato, black olive and feta, and the ever popular oriental bites suited the vegetarian appetites and of course for the carnivores which was nearly everybody on the night we had hot chicken satay with a sweet chilli dip which always goes down well.
Later it was time for the main meal….. The hog roast Bradwell was eagerly awaited by all. The aroma had filled the courtyard all evening and guests were hovering around our catering tent, ready to be our “crackling testers”….. This happens at most events so we know what’s coming when we first lift the hog roast when it’s ready to carve. The hog was accompanied by a selection of delicious homemade salads which were both colourful and tasty and also hot roasted new potatoes seasoned with fresh rosemary and garlic. The salads complimented the succulent roasted pork and crunchy crackling and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the staff from Dentons.
