As the summer holidays begin and the kids excitedly bid farewell to their school routine, families all over the country look forward to creating lasting memories together. For our most recent clients, Claire and Robin, this meant organising a fun-packed camping adventure at a nearby campsite. Little did their loved ones know that the weekend getaway would turn into an unforgettable experience, culminating in a mouthwatering feast from Hog Roast Chiltern Green!
Nestled amidst nature’s embrace, the campsite provided the perfect backdrop for a family bonding extravaganza. With unspoilt surroundings, lush greenery, and an air filled with laughter, the stage was set for an unforgettable adventure. Claire and Robin, eager to make the most of this precious time, had planned activities to cater to everyone’s interests, ensuring that each family member had a wonderful time.
From nature walks and hiking trails to outdoor games and bonfires, each moment of this family camping trip was brimming with excitement. The 15-strong group revelled in the freedom of the great outdoors, engaging in friendly competitions and exploring the wonders of nature.
As the sun began to set on the final night of their camping adventure, Claire and Robin had a delightful surprise for their loved ones. They had organised for Hog Roast Chiltern Green’s caterers to serve our Classic Hog Roast Menu.
With only a handful of guests to feed, Hog Roast Chiltern Green prepared a suckling pig for the occasion, which is arguably leaner and juicier than matured pork. Our catering manager, Daniel, made light work of preparing the meal, which featured an array of tantalising side dishes, including freshly baked bread rolls, crackling, tangy apple sauce, coleslaw, mixed fries and a garden-fresh salad. The feast was a celebration of flavours, with each bite offering a taste sensation that delighted the palate.
The guests eagerly gathered around, their mouths watering in anticipation as they filled their bamboo wooden plates with a little bit of everything on offer. They savoured every mouthful of the delicious food as they sat round the bonfire and shared stories from the weekend’s events. It was a spectacular way to end the camping experience, and the group couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
