Just last week we were approached by Charles, who for a while had been looking for something to spice up he and his wife, Leanne’s 15th wedding anniversary. As a pair of self-confessed food lovers, the client was keen to treat Leanne to a gorgeous feast, but with lockdown restrictions getting in the way, this was proving to be quite the challenge.
Luckily, Charles spotted an ad for our newest catering option, the Gourmet Delivery service, just in time to make arrangements before the monumental occasion. And, after speaking with our catering manager, the client opted for a delivery version of a Hog Roast Hitchin special; the private party menu 3. Featuring succulent, fork-tender pulled pork with sides of crispy and salty crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing, bold and colourful side salads and crunchy coleslaw, it’s no wonder this menu is our most popular option!
To make the occasion even more memorable, Charles had pitched a small gazebo in the back garden, under which he set a table with crystal decorations (a nod to their years of marriage) and used fairy lights to set the mood. Leanne was in complete awe of her husband’s efforts, and when Hog Roast Hitchin arrived to make the delivery, she was blown away.
The food went down even better than expected, and the couple has since reached out to thank the Hog Roast Hitchin team for their attention to detail and sublime cooking skills!
