At a time of such change and uncertainty it’s always nice to have celebrations to remind us of the happiness and excitement in life. Hog Roast Welwyn Garden City’s latest event was a staff party that was thrown to celebrate one member of staff retiring.
Boss and Client Fred was the one who organised the whole party. He wanted a fun party for the whole office to celebrate the retirement of long-time member of staff Tom. So Fred immediately contacted the Hog Roast Welwyn Garden City team. The client worked closely with the team to come up with a tasty buffet for the celebration.
The party was taking place at the office workplace and Chef Steve, who was assigned to this event, arrived there several hours before the 6pm serving time. He was given a spacious room to work in, so he rolled up his sleeves and got on with creating the whole buffet from scratch.
Client Fred had selected the dishes for the evening buffet. The main attraction at the serving table was the Classic Hog Roast, the slow spit roasted pig was served with crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. Also on offer at the buffet was lots of hot jacket potatoes, coleslaw, a fresh Greek salad and a delicious carrot and orange salad with a sesame dressing. Finishing off the buffet was a selection of sauces and dips as well as a basket of soft wraps and rolls.
The food was ready at 6pm the guests all eagerly tucked into the delicious spread. The party was a great success, retiring worker Tom was overcome with affection and happiness at the party his boss Fred had organised.
As Chef Steve quietly tidied away after the food had been eaten he reflected that the party had been a beautiful occasion. He took all the rubbish from the event with him, and later disposed of it responsibly.
Client Fred, newly retired Tom and the whole office sent their thanks to the Hog Roast Welwyn Garden City team and Chef Steve in particular. It had been a very special party.
