Poppy and Andrew’s wedding on Saturday afternoon was nothing short of a spectacular affair, showcasing their love for each other and their shared passion for wildlife. The animal-loving couple decided to make their big day truly unique by choosing a wildlife park as their wedding venue, creating an eventful and memorable celebration.
With 100 guests in attendance, the ceremony at the wildlife park set the stage for an extraordinary day. After exchanging vows surrounded by nature’s wonders, the celebration continued with Hog Roast Letty Green’s Southern Slow Roast Menu – a tantalising American-inspired feast that transported guests to the heart of the Deep South.
Our catering manager, Darren, took the lead on preparing this feast, and he didn’t let the couple down. This lip-smacking spread featured an array of wholesome mains, including Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, pulled minted lamb, BBQ pork butt, and vegetarian grilled veggie skewers with halloumi, tzatziki dip, and flatbreads – offering a diverse selection to cater to every palate. Complementing these delectable mains were sides, such as Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, mixed sweet potato and regular fries, and buttery corn cobbettes, which ensured a rich and varied flavour profile.
Served under the cover of a beautifully adorned gazebo, complete with rustic dining furniture and furry throws to keep guests warm on the chilly day, Hog Roast Letty Green’s steaming hot food became a welcome treat, staving off the worst of the winter chill and creating a cosy atmosphere.
Entertainment abounded, with live music setting the perfect tone for celebration. A live animal encounter show brought an exciting element to the festivities, featuring snakes, tarantulas, and adorable baby residents from the park. The fun continued with a balloon artist, a photo booth, and face painting for the kids, ensuring everyone was kept busy.
