This September, Hog Roast St Albans catered for an incredible joint birthday celebrating Olly and George’s 30th birthdays. The party was also a celebration for four 60th birthdays that took place in the past few years but weren’t properly celebrated. For the celebration, the pair planned a party that would be set up like a festival, with a catering station, live music in a marquee, and most of the 167 guests camped out in the field. Hog Roast St Albans was hired to cater for the event and it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal. This menu always goes down a treat at birthdays and we knew that this would be just as successful!
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast St Albans team arrived at the venue in the afternoon and began to prepare for the 18:00 serving time. The atmosphere was great and it was fun to see so many people helping to prepare this incredible birthday celebration. For the menu, we began by slow-roasting the hog, which was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, a seasonal green leaf salad, gourmet coleslaw, and homemade chips. Our catering was a great addition to the event and it was great to be a part of such a great birthday celebration.
