Hog Roast Leighton Buzzard catered Martin’s event on Friday, where we cooked a centrepiece hog roast for sixty guests at a class reunion in a local school hall. An amazing traditional hog roast from yours truly is always accompanied by our delicious own-recipe duo of sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce, fresh wraps and bread rolls and warm, crispy crackling carved straight off the centrepiece, and that’s whether we make our famous pigs in buns or serve as part of a plated meal.

Martin had asked us to make our pigs in buns for most of the guests but he also needed a vegetarian dish and some sides. After checking out our menus and discussing several options with the vegetarian guests, there was a unanimous decision for us to serve our lovely veggie skewers, which we make with halloumi and a variety of fresh veg, and all the guests would be able to enjoy our sides of homemade coleslaw, jacket potatoes and cheese.

On Friday afternoon, our Hog Roast Leighton Buzzard team cooked up a storm inside the school hall and after roasting the large pig for hours on end, our chef carved off the crackling and sliced up the pork, ready to cram both inside the bread rolls together with our apple sauce and stuffing. Then once the skewers had grilled to perfection, the jackets were ready and we had freshly prepared our crunchy coleslaw, a great feast was ready to be devoured.
