Earlier in August, Hog Roast Royston catered for a wonderful birthday party to celebrate Anne turning 60. The party was organised by her daughter Rosanna, leaving Anne to enjoy the surprise when 60 of her friends and family were in attendance to celebrate with her! For the menu, our catering manager Darren was hired to serve a classic hog roast for the guests, with a meat-free alternative for several guests to enjoy. As well as the catering, a family member’s band performed at the party, which was a great addition to the evening.
On the day of the party, the Hog Roast Royston team arrived at Ashgrove Farm in the afternoon, giving us plenty of time to prepare for the 19:00 serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was roasted to perfection before it was carved by our chef. The sliced meat was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we served grilled vegetables and halloumi skewers for meat-free guests to enjoy. For the selection of sides, we provided a seasonal green leaf salad, gourmet coleslaw, and homemade chips. When it was time to enjoy the menu, the guests lined up at the catering station to grab a plate from what we had to offer. We had plenty of dishes for everyone to enjoy and more than enough to go around! Our catering was a great addition to the evening and definitely went down a treat.
