Earlier this year, Hog Roast Borehamwood was hired to cater for a charity event taking place at Woldingham Golf Club. The event consisted of several rounds of golf, followed by a delicious meal from Hog Roast Borehamwood, and a charity auction. For the menu, Hog Roast Borehamwood was hired to serve a classic hog roast to 100 guests, with an additional meat-free and gluten-free option on offer. We knew that this menu would be ideal for the event since it always goes down a success, especially when the guests have worked up an appetite by playing golf!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Borehamwood team arrived at the golf club in the morning to prepare for the 12:30 serving time. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included a delicious slow-roasted hog and grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers. Once the hog was cooked to perfection, it was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. The mains were accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, crispy cracking, and homemade applesauce, as well as gourmet coleslaw and a mixed leaf salad. Overall, this menu had something for every guest to enjoy and was the perfect way to break up the day. After a delicious lunch break, it was back to the event to take place in a wonderful charity auction.
